The Ekinrin-Adde community has received with great joy the appointment of Professor Gbenga Ibileye as the 4th Substantive Vice Chancellor of the Federal University Lokoja (FUL).
The historic appointment marks a proud moment for the community and is widely regarded as a divine blessing. Community leaders and indigenes have expressed gratitude to God for the elevation of one of Ekinrin-Adde’s academic giants to the helm of a federal institution.
Professor Ibileye’s appointment reflects decades of academic excellence, intellectual distinction, and dedicated service to higher education. His emergence as Vice Chancellor is not only a personal achievement but a collective milestone that affirms the values of hard work, integrity, and perseverance upheld by the Ekinrin-Adde people.
The Ekinrin-Adde Traditional Council, led by HRM Olu Anthony Bamigbaiye Idowu, CON, the Olu Adde of Ekinrin-Adde, alongside the Ekinrin-Adde Community Development Association (EACDA) under the leadership of Elder Deinde Toyin Komolafe, described the appointment as a source of pride and inspiration for present and future generations.
Community stakeholders have expressed strong confidence in Professor Ibileye’s leadership, citing his wisdom, character, and proven administrative capacity. They are optimistic that his tenure will usher in innovation, stability, and significant academic and infrastructural advancement at the Federal University Lokoja.
The Ekinrin-Adde community also commended the outgoing Vice Chancellor, Professor Olayemi Akinwumi, for a successful tenure and his valuable contributions to Nigeria’s academic development and the socio-economic progress of the Ekinrin-Adde community.
