DESCRIPTION:Faleke\, Obafemi\, Otitoju\, Others to Receive Awards as Ekinrin-Adde Celebrates Cultural Da \nThe Ekinrin-Adde Community Development Association (EACDA) has unveiled names of awardees at the forthcoming 2026 Ekinrin-Adde Annual Cultural celebration. \nThis was disclosed by the National Publicity Secretary of EACDA\, Pastor Emmanuel Ajibola Ogungbuyi\, who also announced that the annual celebration will feature a series of social-cultural activities designed to showcase the rich heritage and unity of the Ekinrin-Adde people. \nAccording to him\, the 2026 Awards Night will hold on Friday\, June 26 at the Ekinrin-Adde Multipurpose town hall opposite the Community Radio station\, while the Main Annual Day Celebration will take place on Saturday\, June 27\, at the Baptist High School Open Field\, Ekinrin-Adde. \nThe community will also host the Emidin Yam Festival on June 20\, the maiden Ekinrin-Adde Youth Carnival on June 24\, and the Akogba Mountain Hike on June 26. \nThe Publicity Secretary noted that the annual festival serves as a platform for bringing together sons\, daughters\, and friends of Ekinrin-Adde from across the globe to celebrate their roots\, identify challenges confronting the community\, evaluates the successes recorded so far\, strengthen communal bonding\, and contribute toward the development of the community. \nThe statement named Member representing Ikeja Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives\, Hon. James Abiodun Faleke\, as the recipient of the Special Community Development Service Impact Award\, while Prince Babajide Kolade-Otitoju\, the multiple Award Winning Journalist will receive the Grand-Star Award. \nSix distinguished sons and daughters of the community who will be Inducted into the Omo-Atata Hall of fame are\, Hon. Kolade Fagbemi\, Arch Jide Ademola\, Mrs. Olabisi Comfort Ogunleye\, Dr. Michael Ayo Oluwalagba\, Mrs. Olanike Grace Adefuye and Primate Ologbonyo Ajibulu (JP). \nThe Lifetime Achievement Awardees include Chief D.O Olumoko (Emiloju)\, Barr. Kolade Obafemi (SAN)\, Hon. (Mrs) Margaret Yetunde Olaoye\, Barr. K.S Olutekunbi\, Mr. Emmanuel Aiyeniko\, Prof. Eric Adewumi\, Mr. Adebayo Fatimehin\, Mrs. Juliana Ibitomi Olusheye\, and Pastor Oloruniyin Oluwafemi. \nOthers who bagged Distinguished Community Development Service Award are: High Chief Felix Adeleye\, Mrs. Ebun Malomo Fadahunsi\, Mr. Segun Abiodun\, Mrs. Mary Moribirin\, Mr. Timileyin Dare (Timix Event)\, Mr. Ige Olorundami\, and Mr. Amos Obadunmi. \nPastor Ogungbuyi stated that all those enlisted for the various awards are indigenes and have\, at different times\, contributed to the development of Ekinrin-Adde through their financial support\, material donations\, and selfless service to the community\, making them worthy recipients of the honours. \nHe called on all sons\, daughters\, and friends of Ekinrin-Adde not to relent in their commitment to community development\, urging them to continue supporting initiatives that promote unity and sustainable growth in the community.
