The National Publicity Secretary of Ekinrin-Adde Community Development Association, Pst Emmanuel Ajibola Ogungbuyi, has disclosed that Deaconess Mary Abosede Moribirin is among the six indigenes selected to receive the Distinguished Community Development Service Award at the forthcoming Awards Night, one of the highlights of the 2026 Ekinrin-Adde Day cultural festival.
The EACDA spokesman said that, the award is reserved for sons and daughters of Ekinrin-Adde who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to the growth and development of the community through selfless service and impactful contributions.
Born on February 10, 1971, into the family of late Senior Apostle Ibinola Solomon Oloniyo and the late Mother-in-Israel, Janet Adedoja Oloniyo of Ilufe Clan in Ekinrin-Adde, Kogi State, Deaconess Mary Abosede Moribirin is widely celebrated for her strength, kindness, wisdom and dedication to her family, church, business and community.
She began her educational journey at Baptist School, Ekinrin-Adde, but following the death of her father in 1973 and the financial challenges, she relocated to Ilorin, Kwara State, with her aunt after completing Primary Two. There, she continued her education at St. Michael Primary School, Taiwo Road, Ilorin.
Following her aunt’s transfer on official duty, she later moved to Iyara, Kogi State, where she completed her primary education at Roman Catholic Mission (RCM) School and distinguished herself as assistant Head Girl in Primary Six.
Despite her passion for education and determination to succeed, financial constraints prevented her from advancing beyond junior secondary school. She subsequently returned to Ekinrin-Adde to join her widowed mother, where she began rebuilding her life with courage and determination.
She met her husband, Ambassador Ademola Omoniwa Moribirin, a renowned musician and grassroots politician and their union was solemnised in 1990. The Union is blessed with children and grandchildren.
In the early years of her marriage, she supported her mother-in-law in the local trade of hawking ponmo across various markets in Kogi State. Determined to create better opportunities, she relocated to Abuja in 1997 to establish her own business enterprise.
Through diligence and exceptional entrepreneurial acumen, she rose to become a highly successful businesswoman with interests across several thriving ventures.
She currently serves as Executive Director of Admor Concept Nigeria Limited, Director of Choice File Engineering Nigeria Limited, Managing Director of Tripple M Ventures, Executive Director of MaryMor Nigeria Limited, Executive Director of Lise-Mogun Trading Company Limited, Executive Director of Admor Builders, Executive Vice Chairman of Admor Group of Companies, and Vice Chairman of Ademola Omoniwa Moribirin Foundation.
Deaconess Moribirin is deeply committed to community development and humanitarian service. Through her active participation in the Ekinrin-Adde Community Development Association, she has held several leadership positions, including National Treasurer (2014–2016), National Vice President (2018–2020), and Treasurer of the EACDA Abuja Branch (2024 till date).
In these capacities, she contributed significantly to community mobilisation, development initiatives and the advancement of Ekinrin-Adde’s collective interests.
Her contributions have earned her several recognitions. On June 21, 2008, she received the EACDA Meritorious Service Award, presented by the late His Royal Highness, Oba Solomon Ige Hambolu, in recognition of her invaluable contributions to community development and societal progress.
In 2024, she was further honoured as Ekinrin-Adde Cultural Ambassador for her continued support for the preservation and promotion of the community’s cultural heritage.
As a devoted wife, mother, entrepreneur, mentor and philanthropist, she remains passionate about church activities, community development, youth mentorship and the welfare of widows and the less privileged.
Her humility, generosity, resilience and unwavering commitment to humanity is an inspiration to many within and beyond Ekinrin-Adde.
Her life is a remarkable testimony of faith, perseverance, integrity and selfless service. It is in recognition of these enduring qualities and her immense contributions to community development that she has been selected as one of the recipients of the Distinguished Community Development Service Award at the 2026 Ekinrin-Adde Day Cultural Festival and Awards Night.
