The National Executive Council (NEC) of the Okun Development Association (ODA) has appointed Araba Rufus Aiyenigba as the Acting National Secretary of the association.
The appointment follows the demise of the former National Secretary, Chief Femi Oloruntoba, who passed away on January 31, 2026, creating a leadership vacuum within the organisation.
The decision was reached during an emergency NEC meeting held on Sunday, March 22, 2026, in accordance with the provisions of the association’s constitution.
Aiyenigba, a member of the NEC and former Secretary of the Elders Council, was selected in recognition of his experience, capacity, and longstanding contributions to community and socio-political development, particularly in Ekinrin-Adde and the wider Okun region.
His appointment takes immediate effect.
